At Tarasana Yoga, we're firm believers that "You don't serve the pose, the pose serves you".

  • Mindfullness over perfection - "Looking perfect" in a pose doesn't matter. Paying attention to your breath, your internal sensations, and your body matters.
  • Pliability, not rigidity - Don't "push though the pain" to hit a certain pose. Respect your body's limits, and operate within them.
  • Inner work - The purpose of the pose is to allow you to better your physically, mentally, and spiritually. This means reflecting inward to recognize and release your emotions, stresses, and old patterns.
  • Surrender - Trust the processs and allow the body to find it's own effortless expression within the shape.

Gentle Slow Flow

Gentle Slow Flow is floor-based, slower paced, and designed to help you unwind tension and restore ease in the body. We use longer holds, mindful transitions, and supportive props to meet you exactly where you are.

  • Longer holds + slow transitions for comfort and awareness
  • Props provided (blocks, straps, bolsters) for support
  • Modifications offered for every body
  • A calm space to breathe, soften, and reconnect
